Gi is the second half of our name: integrity — the line you hold when no one is watching. The Blue Cornerstone carries it in a deep, bead-blasted blue, for those who remain steady when pressure rises.

The case

The case is machined from 316L stainless steel and finished by hand — brushed planes meeting polished bevels along eight sides. The octagon isn’t a styling exercise: it comes from the geometry of the arenas where discipline is tested, reduced to a quiet architectural form. At 42 mm across and 12 mm thin, it wears with intent rather than bulk.

The dial

The dial is built from 22 individual parts. Its ground is glass-bead-blasted, anodized aluminium; across it lies a mesh woven by hand from 0.4 mm sterling-silver wire — strand over strand, tensioned, trimmed and seated so the movement remains visible through the weave. To our knowledge, no one had put a hand-woven silver mesh on a wristwatch dial before we did.

It is slow work. It is also the point: a surface no machine produces, changing with every angle of light.

In the case

A Blue, leaving the bench.

A finished Blue Cornerstone in its case, filmed at the atelier before leaving for its owner. The blued hands, the woven silver, the lined strap — everything you see was made by hand, for one person.

The hands

The hands are cut from carbon steel, 0.2 mm thin, and blued the traditional way — by heat, one at a time, watching for the exact moment the steel turns. Miss it by a second and you start again.

The movement

Inside runs a Swiss ETA 6498 — a proven manual-winding calibre chosen for its robustness and honesty — stripped, modified and refinished in-house. Its bridges carry Reigi’s own Rippling finish, a wave-form surface treatment executed at the bench; you will not find it on another watch.

Manual winding is deliberate. A few turns of the crown each morning is a small act of maintenance — the kind of ritual this watch exists to honour.

Above the dial sits a custom faceted sapphire crystal; through the case back, the Rippling finish does its slow work with the light.

The strap

The strap is handmade black calf leather, lined in goat leather in the colour of your corner, made for Reigi by a Finnish leather artisan. The buckle carries the bowtie — our mark for a bow, to you.

No one at this bench counts hours. A watch is finished when it is right — not when the clock says so.

How a Reigi is commissioned

There is no cart and no checkout. A Reigi is commissioned in conversation — the way a watch built for one person should be.

  1. Begin the conversation

Send a reservation request or message us directly. Julli answers personally — usually within a day or two.

  2. Confirm your corner

We go through the details together: Red or Blue, strap fit, engraving wishes, timeline. A 50 % reservation confirms your commission.

  3. The build

Your watch is machined, woven, blued and assembled at the bench in Jyväskylä. We keep you posted as it takes shape.

  4. Delivery

The balance is settled before delivery. Insured worldwide shipping is included — or collect it at the atelier, and put it on for the first time where it was built.
