the maker.
Reigi watches are commissioned directly from the atelier in Jyväskylä, Finland — by conversation, not checkout. Reservations are confirmed with 50 % of the price.
A commission begins with a conversation — about which corner is yours, about fit and details, about timing. If you want it individualised, say so: that is part of the conversation. You will be talking with the person who makes the watch — no middlemen.
Want to shape it first? Compose your Reigi — a guided brief you can send in two minutes.

Delivery
The balance is settled before delivery. Insured worldwide shipping is included — or collect it at the atelier, and put it on for the first time where it was built.
Questions, answered
- Why does it cost what it costs?
- Time, not materials. Steel and silver are the smallest line in the account; the price is the hours that cannot be shortened — a case finished by hand on eight sides, a dial of 22 parts carrying silver woven strand over strand, hands blued one at a time, a movement rebuilt and refinished here. And unlike a factory, we have very few watches to divide that work between, so each one carries more of it. The full answer is in the journal: what are you actually paying for in a handmade watch.
- How does payment work?
- By bank transfer. Half of the price confirms your reservation and starts the build; the balance is settled before delivery.
- How long will my watch take?
- Each watch is built to order, so the answer depends on the queue and the season. We agree a realistic estimate with you when the commission is confirmed — and keep you informed while it’s on the bench.
- What does the price include?
- The watch, its handmade strap and box, insured worldwide shipping, a five-year warranty from delivery, and the first full service.
- Can I return it?
- Yes — within 14 days of delivery, unworn and in original condition. Ask everything first — we would rather talk you out of it than build you the wrong watch.
- Can details be personalised?
- Gladly. Strap fit, engraving and certain details can be agreed in the brief, within the design’s integrity. Tell us what you have in mind and we’ll tell you what’s possible. And if your dream is a different watch altogether, that is what the Pièce Unique commission is for.
Before you commit to any small maker — us included — it is worth reading how to judge a watchmaker nobody has heard of. It is the checklist we would use ourselves, applied to Reigi at the end.
