Made at the bench — and bought
Made in-house: the octagonal 316L steel case, brushed and polished by hand; the 22-part dial on glass-bead-blasted anodized aluminium; the hand-woven 0.4 mm sterling-silver mesh; the heat-blued 0.2 mm carbon-steel hands; the movement finishing. Bought in: the base movement — a Swiss ETA 6498, then stripped, modified and refinished in-house with Reigi’s own Rippling finish. As far as we know, ours was the first hand-woven silver mesh on a wristwatch dial.

Boilerplate — may be lifted verbatim.
Reigi Oy is a watch atelier in Jyväskylä, Finland, founded in 2023 by watchmaker Juho “Julli” Huikkonen, who designs and builds every watch himself. The first model, The Octagon, carries an octagonal 316L steel case brushed and polished by hand, a 22-part dial, heat-blued carbon-steel hands, and a hand-woven 0.4 mm sterling-silver mesh — as far as the atelier knows, the first on a wristwatch dial. The movement is a Swiss ETA 6498, bought, then stripped, modified and refinished in-house with Reigi’s own Rippling finish. In February 2026 the atelier announced a Signature Series with UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall, an edition of 28; every watch sold funds a private autism assessment for a child in need in the UK. Commissions begin with a conversation: reach@reigi.fi, or a visit by appointment.
Founder
Juho “Julli” Huikkonen graduated as a micromechanic from the Finnish School of Watchmaking in Espoo in 2024. During his studies he took part in an Erasmus+ project with a French horology school in Morteau, where he helped build a wall-clock movement from the ground up — work credited in the headmaster’s written statement of February 2025. At Reigi he designs and builds every watch: case, dial, hands, and the movement work.
